Abstract

ABSTRACT

The present research study intended to find the causes of Teachers’ burnout, along with its influence and various aspects to correlate the impact of Teachers’ burnout on the academic achievements of students at Secondary and higher secondary level applying quantitative research method.  

The study used a descriptive-correlation design. The data was gathered from 97 high and 21 higher secondary schools for boys in district Peshawar, the sum of which is 118 schools out of which 80 High school and 19 Higher Secondary schools were selected. Through the Simple Random sampling technique, 291 was the sample size for the teachers out of which 160 questionnaires were served to the High school Teachers and 131 questionnaires were served to the Higher Secondary school Teachers, while the sample size for the students was 379 out of which 201 questionnaires were served to High school students and 178 questionnaires were served to Higher Secondary school students. The Data was analyzed deploying descriptive and inferential statistics,i-e chi-square, ANOVA, KMO and Bartlett’s Test and regression analyses using SPSS version 23.0. 

The outcomes showed that ANOVA  f-value is more than the mean value at average  which is statistically significant which means that the relationship of teachers’ Burnout has positive and significant impact on the academic achievements of the students’ while  the attitude of the student  towards teachers’ burnout has  negative  effects  on their academic achievements.
