Publication Ethics Policy
Purpose
The Journal of Managerial Sciences (JMS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, fairness, and ethical conduct in scholarly publishing. The journal recognizes that ethical publishing is fundamental to the advancement of knowledge and to maintaining the confidence of authors, reviewers, editors, readers, and the wider academic community.
This Publication Ethics Policy establishes the ethical principles and responsibilities governing all stages of the publication process. It applies to authors, editors, reviewers, members of the editorial board, the publisher, and all individuals involved in the submission, review, editing, publication, and dissemination of manuscripts.
The Journal of Managerial Sciences is committed to promoting responsible research practices and preventing publication misconduct. The journal expects all participants in the publication process to act honestly, professionally, transparently, and in accordance with internationally accepted ethical standards.

Responsibilities of Authors
Authors submitting manuscripts to the Journal of Managerial Sciences are expected to:
- Originality
Submit only original work that has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal.
- Accuracy
Present research findings honestly, accurately, and without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation of data.
- Plagiarism
Ensure that manuscripts are entirely original.
All sources of information, ideas, figures, tables, and quotations must be properly cited.
Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism, is considered unethical and may result in rejection or retraction.
- Multiple Submission
Authors shall not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal.
Duplicate or redundant publication is unacceptable.
- Authorship
Authorship shall be limited to individuals who have made substantial scholarly contributions to:
- Conception or design of the research;
- Data collection, analysis, or interpretation;
- Drafting or critically revising the manuscript; and approval of the final version.
All authors must approve the manuscript before submission.
- Corresponding Author
The corresponding author is responsible for:
- Ensuring that all co-authors approve the submission;
- Maintaining communication with the journal;
- Responding to editorial queries;
- Coordinating revisions.
- Data Integrity
Authors should retain research data and provide access when reasonably requested by the editors.
Data should be collected, analyzed, and reported honestly.
- Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the research or its interpretation.
- Funding
All sources of financial support shall be disclosed within the manuscript.
- Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Artificial intelligence tools may assist authors in language editing or improving readability.
However:
- AI tools shall not be listed as authors.
- Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of the manuscript.
- Authors may use AI tools for appropriate purposes such as language editing, statistical programming, data analysis support, literature organization, or manuscript preparation. Any substantial use of AI must be disclosed in the manuscript.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Peer reviewers play an essential role in maintaining the quality of published research.
Reviewers are expected to:
- Review manuscripts objectively and constructively;
- Maintain strict confidentiality;
- Declare conflicts of interest;
- Avoid personal criticism of authors;
- Provide evidence-based recommendations;
- Complete reviews within agreed timelines;
- Identify potential plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical concerns.
Reviewers shall not use unpublished information obtained during peer review for personal research or professional advantage.
Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for maintaining the scientific quality and ethical standards of the journal.
Editors shall:
- Evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit;
- Ensure a fair and unbiased peer-review process;
- Maintain editorial independence;
- Preserve reviewer confidentiality;
- Avoid conflicts of interest;
- Take appropriate action regarding suspected misconduct;

Editorial decisions shall not be influenced by:
- Authors' nationality;
- Ethnicity;

- Institutional affiliation;

Responsibilities of the Publisher
The publisher supports editorial independence and shall:
- Uphold ethical publishing standards;
- Ensure editorial freedom;
- Maintain the integrity of the scholarly record;
- Preserve published content;
- Support corrections and retractions where necessary.
The publisher shall not interfere with editorial decisions.
Peer Review Integrity
